Debbie Mckeegan

Award winning British designer Debbie Mckeegan developed an early love of print from her creative parents. Summer holidays spent watching them work instilled an appreciation of design and print, alongside a strong work ethic.

“Sun bleached flowers, crumbling ceramics, dusty painted tiles, delicate ornamental motifs, vintage documents and tromp l'oeil surface effects happily coordinate to create her beguiling collections…..”

"Your home is your unique space, be creative and create a happy home" - Debbie Mc

Debra was born in Manchester. A pioneering creative who embraced CAD in the nineties and is now a renowned, international designer, digital print pioneer and expert authority. Debbie is also the CEO of TEXINTEL an online resource that connects the creative and manufacturing Textile communities, nurturing collaboration and a sustainable future.

As a company with sustainability at it's heart, all products are manufactured in the UK using eco-friendly partners that offer environmentally certified fabrics and wallpapers.

Her passion for design, printed textiles and tactile wallcoverings is apparent throughout her now extensive portfolio of designs sold worldwide. Debbie creates patterns for both residential and contract clients offering exceptional creativity and a refreshing alternative to mass production.

Maximising all the benefits of digital innovation, constantly pushing at the boundaries of design in her work both as a commercial designer and the founder of TEXINTEL.

All products are manufactured utilising Digital Technology, thus freeing the designer from shackles of mass production and offering Sustainable supply.

Her digital journey began almost 25 years ago, pre-photoshop, and pre-digital print whilst working as a designer in conventional manufacturing thus giving her a vast knowledge of traditional textiles from both a design and production perspective. Embracing CAD at its onset, and moving into the world of digital print, her experience in textiles and wallpaper blended towards digital as the technology naturally evolved to be key part of commercial design. Initially using the technology for pre-production sampling before digital production machines were available, buying her first Digital printer in 1998.

With her partner she founded an award winning Digital print company in 2003. Praised for their innovation, together they pioneered the evolution of digital technologies and were one of the first Digital Print service providers in the UK.

As a digital pioneer working alongside her peers Debbie has developed many new digital production practices. She also continues to create her own design collections having developed multiple brands and design ranges for clients worldwide.

As a passionate creative Debbie has embraced the creative freedom offered with the advance of new technology and looks forward to sharing her knowledge to educate the next generation.
